Update

We talked to the doctors this morning and their best "guess" is that we will be able to bring her home Saturday afternoon. No promises but they are thinking she can be off the ventilator by Thursday (Lord willing if the swelling goes down by then - she is on a steroid right now to help the swelling) which means she needs two days to get the medication out of her system and start eating. Thank you SO much to everyone who has posted comments and left messages. Our phone batteries have been dying and we are very limited to when and where we can use our phones so please don't feel bad if we aren't calling you back. We have wireless internet by her bedside so this is the best way to reach us. You can look forward to MANY blog updates.

Chase and I just prayed, again, for Jordan's little body to heal quickly and for your family to experience the Lord's peace. We love you!

Hi Jen and Shannon,
When I first looked at the photo I couldn't believe Jordan was on a ventilator. Once I was able to read what had happened and said another prayer I looked at Jordan and once again saw what a beautiful little girl she is. We are praying for Jordan's quick recovery and of course her continued strength and wellbeing.
We are also praying for you and your entire family ....God has great plans for Jordan and I believe she is an inspiration to us all.

Jen & Shannon-

You've been on our hearts. We'll keep praying for Jordan as she heals from surgery.
I have an encouraging story to tell you about Smile Train too. Because of your birthday tribute, I suggested Smile Train as one of the charities my Mom should present to her church. She did so this past Sunday and one family has decided to pledge money from their family foundation. I'll tell you the full story when I see you.

We are praying for you all.... She is a tough little girl so she will make it through this. Seeing your pictures remind me of Devany's surgery and how rough those surgeries are! I know in your blog you were saying that you didn't have a place to stay there, but if you go to the Tiverton House right across the street from the hospital CCS will pay for your stay there. Ask fo Shaun he has helped us before.. Well be strong for you little girl! You're in our thoughts and prayers!!!

Dear Jennifer & Shannon,

Really wanted to be there with you this time, but felt you probably had plenty of family around, so didn't want to crowd :)
Jen, just spoke to your Mom, and she told me about the swelling etc..... the Prayer Team will continue to pray. I'm thinking of you both.
Much love,
Debbie Maxwell

Shannon and Jen, We continue to pray for your guys. I read the following Bible verse this morning and pray that God shows each of us what He wants us to learn from Jordan Joy and from your faith and strength in the Lord.

It's in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for. Long before we first heard of Christ,...he had his eye on us, had designs on us for glorious living, part of the overall purpose he is working out in everything and everyone. Ephesians 1:11 (Msg)
